Goals & Functions A. Introduction The Kilkis Chamber develops developmental operations that aim at growth and enhancement of entrepreneurship and the promotion of its members. B. Chamber’s propose The Chambers’ purpose is the protection and development of trade, industry, crafts and professions in their region, within the national economy interests, and also its overall economic progress. The provision of advisory suggestions for each economic issue, to the Government, aims always at the economic development in their region and the overall interest service of the national economy. Also, the Chambers provide advisory advice and information on any economic issue to their members and to any interested. The Kilkis Chamber has adapted this purpose in the Prefecture business environment with aim the quality service to its Companies - Members and the development planning. Its functions and operations based on a slogan «The Kilkis Chamber Development Place in « BUSINESS »in the Kilkis prefecture ». C. Kilkis Chamber Powers
In connection with the powers in Champers, the legislation provides: The Chambers exercise any powers relating to the above purpose, which contributes to achieve better that objective. The same provisions, however, describe a series of indicative powers, such as: · Presents to the government advisory and consultative recommendations, regarding to the trade, the manufacturing and the occupations, or the national economy, · Studies the standardization development, provides registration and origin products certificates to its members, · Attests the same or the handwritten signature of its members and provides information to the members and to the Society. · Maintains Trade Register and grants certificates or identity cards · Takes over the management of industrial and free zones, commercial centres, officials and reports exhibition sites, stations, ports, auctions, general stores, laboratory analysis and goods examination. · Manages Community funds for the development of information technology, education and training of their members or others. · Organizes conferences, seminars and educational programmes · Makes committees and working groups · Publishes magazines and books · Subsidizes initiatives, which contribute to economic growth, cultural, social and national events.
